The picturesque Dales countryside can be seen from all rooms at Inglenook. The picture above (right) is one of Carolyns photos taken from the terrace garden and is also the view from the dining room. The village of Ingleton, with its craft and gift shops, pubs and cafe's, local pottery and heated open air swimming pool, is within easy walking distance of Inglenook. Visit the White Scar caves, enjoy the famous Ingleton Waterfalls Walk (4 miles through the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in the North of England) or ride on the Settle to Carlisle Railway.

Upon arrival after checking in to your room, you are welcome to help yourself to complimentary tea or coffee and home made cakes or biscuits in the guest lounge. Sit and relax for a while maybe looking at our photgraphic guide to the Dales and surrounding area or our "where to eat in Ingleton" guide - a selection of sample menus from some of the many restuarants and bistros in the village. The guest lounge, situated on the ground floor at the front of the house, looks out over Ingleborough Mountain and is equipped with colour television, Sky TV, DVD and a video player.There are also a number of guide books to Ingleton and the surrounding area and a variety of magazines and board games. The elegant dining room, where breakfast is served has separate tables, co-ordinated table linen and unsurpassed views over the Greta Gorge. We are the only guest house in Ingleton with a delicioslyorkshire breakfast award in recognition of our use of high quality local and regional produce.
Ground Floor Bedroom
By far the most popular room is the ground floor annexe (twin beds) situated to the rear of the main house. With its own separate entrance just off the delightful terrace garden it offers that little extra privacy and a lovely view

Surrounding Area After exploring the local Dales you will find that we are ideally situated to tour Windermere and the Lake District, Bronte country, Skipton and the Ribble valley and the Trough of Bowland. Movie locations The Yorkshire Dales and nearby Lake District were the locations for the popular movies Calendar Girls and Miss Potter.
How to Find Us
Inglenook is situated in a quiet road overlooking the River Greta and Ingleborough mountain just a few minutes walk from the attractive village of Ingleton. From the M6 motorway northbound at junction 34 (Lancaster) turn left on to the A683 signposted Kirkby Lonsdale and after approx 10 miles turn right on to the A687. At the T junction (Country Harvest) turn right on to the A65, cross the metal bridge and turn left at the Bridge Mews development signposted to village centre. Inglenook is about 300 yards along on the left hand side. From the M6 motorway southbound at junction 36 (Kendal) take the A65 signposted Settle and Skipton.After approx 11 miles turn left at the Bridge Mews development signposted to village centre.Inglenook is about 300 yards along on the left hand side. From Skipton take the A65 signposted Kendal and the Lakes approx 24 miles (after Clapham)you will see the Ingleton Information sign (brown)continue until you reach the Bridge Mews development (this will be the third road on the right)
